- In order to receive the additional FAAB the owner must release
the traded player. An owner can retain rights to a traded player
by choosing not to receive the additional funds.
- Owners receive FAAB compensation equal to the winning bid for a
Free Agent if that player is subsequently traded out of the league.
- Owners submit Free Agents for bidding.
- Bidding starts from the time a player is nominated until the end
of the next stat period that falls at least 7 days after the player is
submitted.
- Bidding takes place via silent auction. Bids are submitted
to a specified email address.
- If multiple players are up for bidding, bids may be placed on a
conditional basis, which must be specified clearly in the bid
submission.
- Auctions are resolved in the order the players were submitted for
bidding. All conditional bids must keep this in mind.
- The winning bid is considered to be $1 greater than the next
highest bid.
- All Free Agents must remain either on the owner's active roster
or on the disabled list. Free Agents demoted to the owner's
minors are considered to be released and may be submitted for bidding
by other owners.
